Project Basilisk is a game about building an AI lab from the ground up. Hire researchers, buy compute, and race to be the first to AGI.

This is much more so a combination interactive novel / incremental / strategy / simulation experience - not your typical idle/clicker, so it may not be for everyone.

Please rate / comment if you enjoyed the game - your feedback is invaluable to me!

Amazing. Can't wait for the alignment age.

Very cool game so far. To me the fastest marker of a good strategy game is if I lose and want to play again.

And boy am I losing!

Great Game! As an Computer Engineer working with AI, I keep pointing at the screen and excitedly saying, "Oh my god, I do that!."
And then near the end it turns into, "Oh my god...I do that."
Anyway, very fun and addicting. Love that it doesn't drag on for days but can be completed in a sitting. Especially once you learn that bankruptcy is a feature not a failure.

eh no thanks, incremental games are supposed to be relaxing not stressful

We become what we build.

Maybe before it replaces us.

Well I think one thing should be clearified.
Please tell your players that you get bonuses after your death. I have no idea this was a thing and I reseted serveral times before bankrupcy thinking that I can somehow beat the game with no presige and my poor brain.

plz tell them there are prestige and this is not the dark soul of incremental game

Thanks for the feedback - making prestige bonuses clearer upfront will definitely be part of the upcoming release around narrative vs. arcade modes

A prestige button might also be needed.

Also I think automation can be better explain because at first I assumed it still occupies the focus

also my ending somehow played twice?

This is legendary. I look forward to seeing more, maybe it might be worth it to add a campaign mode which would be a version of the game that doesn’t have prestige bonuses but it is rather for long-term players.

I really appreciate the kind words! Re: campaign mode - yes, a major challenge I had in development was how to make the game both accessible to new players (with tutorials and bonuses so they don't keep on losing over and over, which isn't fun) but not super easy for experienced players (like me on my 100th time playtesting). A campaign/narrative mode with fewer hints, vs. a beginner/easy mode with bonuses and hints might be the way to go.

Wanted to let you know that guided vs. narrative mode has been added in 0.9.0 - thanks again for the feedback!
